Assembled in 5 Minutes
It really takes only a while.
Basically you take it out of the box, screw in the legs, attach cables to power box, turn it over, plug into wall and you are all set.
NOTE: Have somebody to help you as this base is heavy and with the electrical units attached, you want be careful while moving the base.
So Lets break it down a bit. You get following parts:
- Remote Control (including 2x AAA batteries)
- 6 Legs (2 are already pre-attached)
- Retainer Bars (to prevent mattress from slipping while adjusting the bed)
- Electrical “stuff” (Power cord and power supply box)
Put the bed on the floor upside down, or in another words with mattress site on the floor. Screw in 4 unattached legs. You probably have noticed that there are two holes next to each other.
You can decide which one to use. Or in another words, which fits you best. Really, it is about your preferences – where you want to locate your legs.
Make sure that you also tight the pre-attached legs.
Now you can connect the power cord to the power supply box. Take a look at the power supply box. There is a room for 2 9 Volt batteries.
You dont really need them. They are only as the back up batteries, in case your power in house goes out. Should that be tha case, your bed still will be operating.
As one of the final steps, turn the base back on the legs. Last piece you are going to install is the mattress retainer. That might be a little bit tricky. You insert one side of the retainer into the bracket and using pressure insert the opposite site.
If you have king size bed you obviously gonna have a 2 twin units. Now you want to make sure that both units are paired together, assuming you have one mattress.
How to pair the together ? Take the remote control press both upper buttons (Head Control Raise + Foot Control Raise) together with little blue button on the power cord. Hold it until you hear 2 beeps. Your both sites are now paired together.
Your bed is pretty much ready. If you are going to decide for the Twin XL size, it is recommended to use the King size mattress.
User Experience
What makes this base special comparing to regular bed is the independent elevation of head and/or foot section.
People with lower back problems find the opportunity to raise their foot very helpful. In such position you release the pain in the back.
To mention some downsides;
If for whatever reason your remote does not work, go contact the manufacturer. They react very promptly and you will get the replacement even if you miss just a washer or some other part is damaged. We are enclosing their email address: warranty@lucidmattress.com
In same cases people find that the mattress slips a bit even-though the retainer is attached at the bottom. Should that be your case just get the non slip pad.
